About Family Constellations

A family secret, an unacknowledged loss, a member who was excluded from the family — these unresolved dynamics continue to move through a family system across generations until they are seen, named, and brought into order.

Family Constellations is a powerful group process that makes these hidden dynamics visible — and begins to restore what has been out of order. It draws on the intelligence of the knowing field: the living, felt dimension in which representatives — people who stand in for absent family members — can accurately sense what those family members carry, without knowing anything about them.

At Medicine Horse we add Horses into the Constellation process.

The part of the Horses

Horses are prey animals whose survival has always depended on reading what is authentically present, not what is presented. When a horse enters a constellation space, it does not encounter the individual standing before it — it encounters the entire system that the person carries. Their history. Their entanglements. Their lineage. The horse perceives the energy of all of it, and responds to it with a precision that no human can match and no training can replicate.

Our horses move freely at liberty throughout the Constellation. They are not assigned roles. They are not led into position or asked to perform. They participate entirely from their own knowing.

She has been practising Family Constellations for 10 years – with horses from the start
The horses bring their profound sensitivity, wisdom, and presence.
Together we hold you in deep and mystical process.

If you are a seasoned Constellation participant be aware that this is not a traditional-format Constellation.

Workshop overview

We have two Constellation spaces open, and place for up to 10 representatives.

We start with welcome and Introductions
Sharing of information about the horses and how they are working
Intro to Family Constellations with some of the philosophy for those who are new
Exercises to attune to nature, the horses – and to sensitize our bodies
Constellation exercises that the whole group participates in together

Then the first Constellation
Followed by a refreshments break
The second Constellation
And we close with meaningful reflections and sharing

Two roles are available

🐴 Constellatee — You bring your own question, theme, or entanglement to be worked in the group. Your constellation forms the centrepiece of the morning.

🐴 Representative — You participate fully in both constellations as a representative or witness, and co-holder of the space. Representatives consistently report profound personal movement, even without bringing their own issue.
