If there’s one thing that has been said about horses many times it’s that “Horses make us better people”. Herd Wisdom sessions focus on this principle to challenge, teach, and shape us into stronger, clearer, and wiser individuals.

In one-to-one sessions with the horses, you’ll explore the inner skills that shape and contribute to your life experience: such as navigating feelings, holding boundaries, staying steady under pressure, finding direction, and keeping going when it gets hard.

No prior horse experience needed.
All interaction and exercises take place on the ground.

There’s no set programme.

We start with a foundation session in which the horses will help show what’s most alive for you.

From there you’ll choose the themes most relevant to you and commit to the corresponding number of sessions as the container in which we work.

Leading others starts with leading yourself, which is why the Leadership track is open once you’ve journeyed through the personal foundation work.

Here you take your inner steadiness into how you lead: influence without force, holding a group or team, having difficult conversations, accountability, leading through change, and deciding under pressure.

Where Relational work looks outward at how you connect with others, and Ancestral work looks backward at what was inherited from your family system – Herd Wisdom looks inward, at the landscape of your own inner world.

It is about developing the capacity to meet yourself honestly — to know what you feel, to understand why, to choose how you respond, and to build the inner qualities that allow you to show up in your life with integrity, clarity, and genuine strength.

Watch a horse in a herd and you will see, demonstrated with complete naturalness and without any self-consciousness:

  • Boundaries — clear, honest, immediate. Not aggressive. Not apologetic. Simply true.
  • Self-regulation — the capacity to return to calm after disturbance, without drama or residue.
  • Clarity — knowing what is needed and communicating it without ambiguity.
  • Leadership — earned through presence and consistency, not through force or performance.
  • Courage — moving toward what is uncertain without waiting for the fear to pass first.
  • Persistence — returning to the task, again and again
  • Authenticity — being entirely, unself-consciously themselves. Always.

These are not abstract virtues.
In the presence of the horses, they become tangible, visible and immediate.
The horse becomes the mirror in which you can see your inner world reflected.

This pathway is for you if:

  • you feel disconnected from your own emotional life — numb, overwhelmed, or unable to make sense of what you feel
  • you recognise patterns of self-sabotage, self-criticism, or self-abandonment that you cannot seem to shift
  • you want to develop greater emotional literacy — the capacity to name, understand, and navigate your inner world with skill
  • you are working on your values and want to live more aligned with what actually matters to you
  • you sense that who you are and who you could be are not yet the same person — and you are ready to close that gap
  • you want to develop the character qualities — courage, clarity, boundaries, self-regulation — that the horses embody so naturally
