Communication plays an essential part of our everyday reality and activities. As human beings we are social animals; and with that comes the need for an effective form of communication. While body language plays a large part in our understanding of one another and is a silent form of communication; verbal communication remains key.
NonViolent Communication (NVC), also known as Compassionate Communication, was developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960s and 1970s. It is a communication technique that puts emphasis on empathy, understanding, and the effective communication of needs; in a way that preserves connection, resolves conflict, and builds stronger relationships.
Marshall Rosenberg developed Nonviolent Communication as a way to address conflict and to create deeper connections between people, in particular people experiencing conflict. He recognized that many conflicts arise from a lack of empathy and understanding, and that people often communicate in ways that are hurtful or dismissive. In fact there is often an inherent violence in the way that we as a society are conditioned to communicate. NVC emphasizes that our feelings are often a result of unmet needs, and that learning to express these needs in a clear and compassionate way results in greater understanding, and less frustration, disconnection, or fighting between people.
Beyond a language of nonviolence, we have experienced NVC to be a language that naturally invites and opens the way for healing. It is a language of healing, if you like. NVC invites the possibility of being truly seen, heard and accepted; and with that comes a great homecoming, a sense of belonging.
Learn NVC with us as a communication technique that you can apply to improving all of your relationships; whether that is with your partner, family, children, or your work colleagues – and even complete strangers.
Experience deeper connections with others and become more compassionate and effective as a communicator.
The other language that is important to us is Animal Communication. As children we naturally talk to and understand other beings; in fact being able to communicate across species is the birthright of each and every one of us. Animal Communication is not hard to (re)learn, but it does require a heartfelt level of motivation and practice. The whole of Nature is communicating all of the time; it’s us who have forgotten how to listen.
And if you are have a horse or are working with horses then being able to communicate in the universal language of Animal Communication creates a deeper bond, better understanding, better trust, and makes for a far more compassionate, kind, connected and easier form of training.
We offer Animal Communication tuition on demand in the form of half day learning sessions for you to learn the technique, and half day practice sessions for you to practice your new skill-set.
